Got 04.00 ferry from Dover after taking picture of the famous owl which got us into trouble with some jobsworth last year when we tried to leave the terminal without said owl.
That damned owl
Bought some more camping gas from the “Super U” supermarket at Gravelines and then had a rather dreary drive down to the Hutopia campsite in Versailles. Had to drive back to Dunkirk from halfway to Amiens to recover a tatty old but much-loved and much-travelled i-pad which had been left on the ferry and had gone back to Dover before coming back to Dunkirk. The lovely people at DFDS which got it back for us live here:
