Day 104 (10th October) Saint Petersburg

We heard that every hotel in Saint Petersburg was fully booked but were lucky to find a sweet little hotel just off Nevskii Prospekt which was full on the 10th, but a room was available on the 11th and 12th. So we decided to book for these nights and (because the hotel has its own parking space) got permission to park for the night of the 10th. I’m not sure if the receptionist knew we were planning to sleep in the van, but we did so without any trouble. In the morning we walked to the Aleksandr Nevskii Lavra (cemetery) where many notable composers, writers, poets and artists were buried. We saw the graves of Tchaikovskii, Mussorgskii, Borodin. Glinka, Dostoevskii and Rimsky-Korsakov.
