Since we went through Uzbekistan in 2018, it feels like the population has grown by 10% (with lots of small children running about) and the traffic by 1,000%. The road from Bukhara is a motorway running through a succession of small towns buried under an avalanche of advertising signs. However they haven’t thought to put up too many road signs. The landscape, when you can see it, is a mixture of arable and pastoral farming with cows rather than camels. Nothing significant to report.
