Day 149, 23rd October, Tashkomyr

Day 149, 23rd October, Tashkomyr
After a lazy morning and a late breakfast, we proceeded at a leisurely pace to Osh where a rather sullen-faced man at a tyre repair place spent a long time trying to find why a tyre kept going down. Eventually he identified the problem as a hairline crack in the wheel. He coated the inside of the wheel with some black stuff and it seem to have done the trick. Charged me £5 for an hours work. We then carried on towards Bishkek and had a miserable time getting stuck behind an endless succession of trucks, many of them carrying coal. The eventual aim was to reach Toktogul and we didnt even make that. With huge numbers of lorries on the road I didnt fancy driving in the dark so we stopped at the side of the road just south of Tashkomyr next to an abandoned tourist establishment. Had a good nights sleep

Friendly (and hungry) dog
