Day 115, 19th September, Chengdu

Slept in in the morning and went to see the Wenshu Monatery in the afternoon. The main prayer hall was beautiful, but somewhat disturbing as a young girl was in a trance and kept saying “An” every second in a sharp high-pitched voice. We must have been there for two hours and she never stopped . Weird.
In the evening we went to what looked like a high-class restaurant, but the food was very good and very cheap. Jennifer had a plate of sweet and sour pork and I had a plate of Sechuan bean sprouts covered in pork slices. We were still hungry so we ordered a bowl of crispy-fried carp floating in tasty sweet and sour source. Very nice.
