Day 29, 1st May, Alexandropolis

An utterly frustrating day, finding campsites on the satnav, driving miles and then finding them closed. We decided to press on to Turkey and stopped about 10 miles out of Alexandropolis at a rest station where a nice old gent told me that there was a campsite in Alexandropolis city. With fingers, toes and everything else crossed, we drove nearly 30 miles round the town, and found it open!!!!!. Sadly no washing machine so we’re about to set off to the washroom and wash our festering clobber by hand, but the wifi is reasonably good. Bet part of the day was a beach half way between Kavalla and Komotini.
